Bulgaria is a magical place full of nature, fauna, and flora. 38% of the country is covered in forest. One of the most interesting places to mention in Bulgaria for nature lovers is the Pirin national Park, which is the Patrimony to Humanity by UNESCO. It is a national park that extends through the mountains that have the same name. The area is aobut 270 km2 with maximum heights of 3000 metres.
You should also see the Vihren National Park with an area of 62 km2, as it is right next to the Pirin Naitonal Park.
There are the natural reserves of Bayuvi and Yulen, or the Rusenski Lom National Park in the area of Ruse, one of the protected areas of Bulgaria with the greatest variety of fauna.
It has forest areas with a variety of Central European flora and fauna.
Another place to see is the Srebarna Natural Reserve, also a patrimony to humanity by UNESCO, which is located in the northeast of the country. The Srebarna Lake is another impressive place to visit, where bird watchers can see bird migrations throughout the year.
